“We are delighted to add this prestigious Grand Central district office building to our portfolio,” said George Comfort president and CEO Peter Duncan.
Other Manhattan properties managed by the Comfort firm include Worldwide Plaza, 200 Madison Avenue, 498 Seventh, 307 West 38th Street and 2 Wall Street.

The Comfort appointment was made by MEPT, as advised by Bentall Kennedy (US) Limited Partnership.
Opened in 1962 from plans by the architectural firm, Emery Roth and Sons, the 27-story tower recently underwent an extensive modernization, highlighted by the installation of energy efficient systems and a new lobby.

According to Comfort executive vice president Matt Coudert, a few tower floor suites of 5,000 to 7,000 s/f will be available later this year.

The building’s retail space is under long-term lease to Starbucks, Pret a Manger and CVS.
