Thor Equities has leased 2,850 s/f of retail space at 2 Beekman Street in the Financial District to the developers of The Beekman, a luxury residential condominium.
Located across the block from 2 Beekman Street, The Beekman will feature 68 high-end condos rising above The Beekman Hotel, a 287-room Thompson Hotel featuring restaurants by Keith McNally and Tom Colicchio.
“2 Beekman is ideally positioned directly opposite The Beekman, which will be a hub for tourists and locals when it opens later this year,” said Melissa Gliatta, executive vice president of Thor Equities.
Also known as the Potter Building, 2 Beekman Street was constructed in 1882 as an iron-framed brick office building.
The ground level offers multiple storefronts, including one currently occupied by Starbucks, with over 10,000 s/f of retail space and 325 feet of frontage along Beekman Street, Park Row and Nassau Street.
