Former Sotheby’s Canada CEO to lead Compass’ global march

Compass, a technology-driven real estate platform, announced the appointment of real estate veteran Ross McCredie as Senior Global Advisor.

McCredie will draw upon more than a decade of international real estate management experience in advising Compass on expansion and talent recruitment efforts as the company  builds its global presence.

McCredie is the founder and former president and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, where he was responsible for the overall strategic direction, sales and marketing management, and coordination of the Client Services Platform.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ross to Compass. His expertise in building one of the most internationally recognized brands in the real estate world will prove invaluable as Compass continues our rapid expansion into new national and global markets,” said Robert Reffkin, founder & CEO, Compass.

Under McCredie’s leadership, Sotheby’s International Realty Canada expanded into 30 Canadian markets since its inception in 2004, and is today among the largest international affiliates in the Sotheby’s network.

McCredie also founded and served as the president & CEO of Blueprint Global Marketing, the preferred project marketing company for the Sotheby’s International Realty network worldwide.
