Lee & Associates NYC has brokered a lease for Lightbridge Academy, the early childhood education and child care center.
Brad Schwarz, principal, negotiated a 15-year lease for the ground-floor, 11,491 s/f space at TF Cornerstone’s The Max at 606 West 57th Street, between 11th and 12th Avenues. Asking rent was $95 psf.
This will be the first Manhattan location for the Lightbridge, which has centers open or under development in Brooklyn and on Long Island, as well as locations throughout Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.
“Lightbridge Academy will effectively service the dense residential community of this far west side neighborhood which has really taken shape in recent years,” said Schwarz, who represented the tenant. “This Lightbridge Academy will benefit from a built-in customer base as it’s situated on the ground floor of the second largest residential building in Manhattan, housing 1,028 units.”
Surrounding retailers and restaurants include AKC Canine Retreat, Ousia, Landmark Theatres, Morton Williams and SoulCycle.
TF Cornerstone, was represented by Steven E. Baker, president, and Daniyel Cohen, director, of Winick Realty. The Max is a fully leased 1,028-unit, 44 story luxury rental building. Baker and Cohen are currently marketing 13,965 s/f of remaining retail at the property, including 2,144 s/f on West 57th and 11,821 s/f on Eleventh Avenue.
