DONE DEALS: New folk at White House

Some new folk are moving into the White House — the one at 262 Central Park West, that is.

Compass agents Brian K. Lewis and Danelle Snider have gone to contract on unit 4C at the White House co-op after just one day on the market.

Lewis and Snider received three offers all above the $4.125 million ask for the two bedroom, 2-bath co-op. A classic pre-war home, it has high ceilings and oversized picture windows that showcase Central Park and its Great Lawn and Reservoir — a feature the new buyers coveted.

“People think the market is soft, and maybe it is,” said Lewis. “But there’s a way to create bidding wars in any market with …a price based on reality. The first thing that’ll make a buyer say no is price. The second thing is presentation.
“We weren’t denying that it needed attention in the bathroom and kitchen, but we didn’t want to lead with that – it’s very obvious to anyone who sees it – but we wanted to promote the fact that it’s huge and has a view.”
