CNY Construction announced that the firm was selected to serve as construction manager for the new mixed-use retail and office building at 860 Washington Street.
860 Washington Street is being developed by Property Group Partners on a site directly abutting The High Line at West 13th Street.
The building will contain 126,000 s/f on 12 stories, and has been designed to achieve LEED Gold certification.

The first two floors will be used for retail space and the remaining floors will contain state-of-the-art office space.
The building’s modern architectural features will include a glass curtain wall façade system with glass panel sections extending 22 feet. Loft-styled interior spaces will contain floor-to-ceiling heights of nine feet. This project will be one of the only fully glass-enclosed spaces in New York City.
According to CNY Group president Ken Colao, “Post-tensioned concrete slabs are cantilevered to the perimeter and then elegantly draped with a large glass panel curtain wall system creating a column free space with incredible light and air. It will be a truly iconic building upon its completion.”
As construction manager for the project, the firm has collaborated with AAI Architects as the architect of record; James Carpenter Design Associates, project designer; DeSimone Consulting Engineers; Langan Engineering; and Gardiner & Theobald.
Construction for 860 Washington began in 2013 and is projected to be completed early 2015.
