The Brodsky Organization recently closed a deal with Pig Heaven at 1420 Third Avenue.
The cherished Upper East Side restaurant will open in the 2,000 square foot retail space this fall.
A long-time neighborhood favorite, Pig Heaven will be relocating from their former space on Second Avenue and 80th and 81st Streets, which they previously occupied for 30 years.
“We are honored to have played a role in the preservation of an Upper East Side treasure that was on the verge of being uprooted from the neighborhood,” said Alexander Brodsky, a principal at The Brodsky Organization. “My family has been frequenting Pig Heaven since I was a child, and we welcome them to our growing roster of restaurant tenants.”
“We are eager to open this new space and continue serving a community that has become like family,” said Nancy Lee, owner of Pig Heaven. “After decades in the neighborhood, we could not imagine being anywhere but the Upper East Side.”
Pig Heaven is a long-standing Chinese restaurant which has served the Upper East Side neighborhood for over 30 years.
The restaurant has become well-known for its authentic Chinese cuisine and entertaining atmosphere, and has hosted a variety of neighborhood celebrities, including Tom Hanks, Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and Steven Spielberg.
