Now – Aug 27: The Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership Business Improvement District is kicking up free programming in its Public Plazas this summer with an eight-week schedule of fitness events, tech classes, games, and improv performances. HUD Disaster
Symposium
Aug 13: Enterprise Community Partners Inc. and the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will host an affordable housing symposium on disaster readiness and emergency planning at the Rosenthal Pavilion in New York University’s Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Square South, 10th Floor New York, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Weichert Charity Golf Tournament
Aug 20: Weichert Realtors will host its 15th Annual Charity Golf at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J. The event will raise funds for the American Cancer Society to benefit breast cancer research. Individuals and businesses are invited to participate in the fundraiser. Team awards will be given out for first and second place, and there will be contests for both men and women for Longest Drive, Closest to the Hole and Straightest Drive. In addition, Hole-in-One prizes include 2015 luxury automobiles, and there will also be a raffle featuring the grand prize of an LCD television. A range of six sponsorship levels ensures an affordable sponsorship option for businesses – both large and small. Contributions of gifts and prizes are also welcome from businesses as donations. AREPA Networking Event
Sept. 15: The Asian Real Estate Professional Association (AREPA) will host a Fall networking event on from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.. at Singl Lounge(at the Hyatt Union Square) located at 80 East 13th Street. There will be a $5 charge for entry to this event. As there is limited tickets, this event will sell out so please order early. INREV Symposium
Sept 23: INREV, the European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles, is hosting a seminar in New York focusing on the state of the European real estate investment market and highlighting the potential impact of recent trends and developments for US-based investors and funds. STA Annual Golf Outing
Sep. 28th: The Subcontractors Trade Association (STA) will host its Annual Golf Outing at the Village Club of Lake Success in Great Neck, New York. 14+ Foundation Annual Cocktail Benefit
Oct. 1: 14+ Foundation will host its Annual Cocktail Benefit Supporting Children’s Education in Africa. The event will take place from 6:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. followed by an after-party from 8:30 P.M – 11:00 P.M at the Angel Orensanz Center located at 172 Norfolk Street in New York City. Proceeds from the benefit will support the design and development of new schools in Zambia as well as other educational initiatives. AIA Archtober
Oct 1-31: Archtober (ärk’tôbər), New York City’s annual Architecture and Design Month, is now in its fifth year. This year’s festival theme is “5 Years, 5 Boroughs.” A celebration of the impact of design. Archtober will be headquartered at the Center for Architecture on LaGuardia Place in Greenwich Village. WX Woman of the Year Gala
Nov. 19: WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate (WX) will host its 2015 Woman of the Year Gala from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at The Pierre in New York City. The gala will honor Carmen M. Bowser of Eastpointe Consultants, LLC. Bowser has closed over $6 billion in transactions while working at institutions including Capital One Bank, Prudential, TIAA-CREF and others. The 2015 Woman of the Year Gala will also pay tribute to Patricia Goldstein, a longtime WX member and previous Woman of the Year recipient who passed away recently.
