SLCE Architects has subleased 25,000 s/f in 1359 Broadway from Li & Fung, Real Estate Weekly has learned.
The growing firm is relocating from 841 Broadway in Union Square, where they occupied two non-contiguous floors.
Asking rents were in the mid-$40’s per square foot, sources said, and the lease term was close to 15 years.
Matt Leon of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the tenant and Mitch Konsker of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the sub-landlord. The brokers were not available for comment.
SLCE Architect’s numerous high-rise projects include the Bloomberg Tower, 10 West End Ave. in Lincoln Center, and the Four Seasons Hotel under construction at 99 Church Street.
The company has become one of the most prolific architects iun the city and is currently pursuing projects in growth markets throughout the world, according to its website.
The Hong Kong based consumer goods supplier Li & Fung signed a 93,000 s/f lease at 1359 Broadway in 2005 and an additional 45,600 s/f lease in 2010. In early 2011, it took nearly 490,000 s/f in the Empire State Building.
