Greenbuild, the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building, takes place in New Orleans, LA, next month.
The annual event sponsored by the US Green Building Council draws together building community leaders to share ideals and mutual passion at Greenbuild, sparking a contagious buzz throughout the week.
Experts and frontline professionals dedicated to sustainable building in their everyday work come together for three days of inspiring speakers, networking opportunities, industry showcases, LEED workshops and tours of the host city’s green buildings.
Masterclass events include The Future of Sustainable Cities, a power panel of leaders of diverse industries who share the common trait of championing sustainability and green building, and providing inspiration and motivation for our everyday lives, and the plenary speakers.
Dr. Deepak Chopra, whose War of the Worldviews, has been called ” one of the more important books to read of the decade,” will give a keynote presentation.
Conference speakers include Katharine Hayhoe, associate professor in the Department of Political Science and director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University, and Scot Horst of the U.S. Green Building Council who will discuss the American LEED rating system.
Each year at Greenbuild, a film festival screens submissions, including documentaries, films and informational videos.
In keeping with this year’s conference theme, Leadership Jazz, the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo is showing submissions that promote the global green building movement and address social, environmental, and health topics related to the built environment.
