Feb. 23: BOMA New York will host its 2017 Pinnacle Awards Ceremony from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Chelsea Piers. This year, seventeen nominees are competing for 10 awards and the Grand Pinnacle—the “pinnacle of the Pinnacles”—which will be given to the building that achieves the highest score. Museum Conference
Feb. 25:   Scott Newman, FAIA, will help keynote the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums (MAAM) conference, Building Museums Symposium 2017,  at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, D.C., as part of the talk, “Transforming the Whitney.” The keynote panel brings together Newman and  other experts from the project team. They’ll discuss why the renowned museum moved to a new neighborhood in Manhattan, how it developed new approaches for displaying art, and its unique urban interconnections and novel solutions for storm and flood protection.  Newman will be joined by the co-panelists Larissa Gentile, project manager for the Whitney, as well as Andrew Thomann of Turner Construction.

YMBA Luncheon
March 2:  Why have traditional equity firms set-up non-bank fund lending platforms? Is this the new paradigm, trend and/or pattern in the every evolving CRE market?
