A 3,316 s/f condo at the Trump Tower at 721 Fifth Avenue has been sold for $13.3 million, according to city records.
The unit, #4849D, was sold by 48 Acquisition LLC and purchased by Arizona-based Verde NY Property I. The buyer’s attorney, Margery Weinstein, declined to comment on the sale.
Verde NY Property I’s registered agent is CT Corporation System, but a spokeswoman for CT Corporation said it merely provides legal and administrative services to Verde and didn’t have additional information.
The amenities are vast: a six-head steam shower, motorized refrigerator shelves and soundproof sheetrock in every room. It is the only unit in the building with two kitchens, which come with four bedrooms and three-and-half bathrooms.
The unit has been marketed by no fewer than three major brokerages in the last two years, according to StreetEasy. In March 2009, Sotheby’s International Realty listed the property at $15 million, but took it off the market in June 2009. Twelve days later, Brown Harris Stevens listed it for $5,000 less, before cutting the price by another 2 million to $12.995 million in November 2009.
Corcoran took over the listing in the same month, adjusting the price to $12.9 million, and Trump’s in-house agent Rana Hunter Williams would co-market the unit in March 2010.
In June 2010, the apartment finally sold for $11.5 million, but it would almost immediately return to the market at $12.995 million, with the formidable Paula Del Nunzio of Brown Harris Stevens as the listing broker. By July, the listing was no longer available, but city records indicate that the sale did not close until April 28, 2011.
Del Nunzio and Williams couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
