The Real Estate Board of New York has announced its latest slate of honorees ahead of its annual awards banquet this winter.
Recognized for their accomplishments in real estate as well as their charitable contributions throughout the city, the 2019 REBNY Awards recipients include executives from fields of development, property management, construction and brokerage.
Winners include Daniel R. Tishman, Principal and Vice Chairman of Tishman; Diane M. Ramirez, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Halstead Real Estate; Carol Kellermann, President of the Citizens Budget Commission; Helena Rose Durst, a Principal at The Durst Organization; Bernard Warren, Chairman and President of Webb & Brooker; Ira Z. Fishman, a Partner at HSP Real Estate Group and Alex Bernstein, Executive Vice President/New Business at Bernstein Real Estate.
“The REBNY Banquet is more than a celebration of real estate’s best and brightest,” the group’s Chairman William Rudin said. “It is an acknowledgement of how important our industry is to New York and how much we love this city. The honorees reflect the kind of excellence and dedication that we all strive for. They have made exceptional contributions to both the real estate industry and our entire city.”
Tishman will receive the Harry B. Helmsley Distinguished New Yorker Award for his contributions to New York’s civic welfare and the real estate community. Ramirez will be awarded the Bernard H. Mendik Lifetime Leadership in Real Estate Award, Kellermann will be given the John E. Zuccotti Public Service Award for exceptional accomplishments and service in the public’s interest. Durst will get the Kenneth R. Gerrety Humanitarian Award, Warren the George M. Brooker Management Executive of the Year Award, Fishman the Louis Smadbeck Memorial Broker Recognition Award, and Bernstein the Young Real Estate Executive of the Year Award.
The awards will be presented during REBNY’s 123rd Annual Banquet, which will take place on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the New York Hilton in Midtown.
