Tamarkin welcomes Italian gallery duo

Brother and sister team Irene and Marco Cassina are set to open a new gallery at developer Cary Tamarkin’s newest West Chelsea development at 508 West 24th Street.

Keller Williams NYC broker Richard Tayar, who specializes in working with Italian clients, represented the tenants in the five-year lease for 4,812 s/fat the base of the building.

The landlord, Premier West 24 LLC, was represented by Jamison Weiner of The Manhattes Group. Asking rent was $150 psf.

“This is a raw space in Cary Tamarkin’s new West Chelsea project,ˮ said Tayar. “Cara Gallery will complete a basic renovation, which will include an enclosure for office space, a storage facility and additional exhibit walls.

“The opening is anticipated for early summer. Cara Galler will promote the sale in the US of contemporary artists.”

Cara Gallery, founded in 2015, will open in September with an “acclaimed and collectedˮ Polish artist, represented for the very first time in the US.
