The guest list for Shlomi Reuveni’s private networking dinner earlier this week read like the ‘who’s who’ of real estate. The sought-after, invite-only event brought together an exclusive group of developers, institutional and private equity lenders, architects and media entities for an unforgettable evening of exquisite cocktails, live piano, and a delectable five-course dinner by the renowned culinary team at 15 East @ Tocqueville.
Some notable guests of the evening included Don and Katrina Peebles of the Peebles Corporation, Bob Knakal of JLL Capital Markets, Nancy Ruddy of CentraRuddy Architects, Joe McMillan of DDG Partners, Jonathan Miller of Miller Samuels, Bentley Zhao of New Empire Real Estate Group, Cat Liu of CIM, Issac Hera of Yellowstone, Anthony Tortora of LCOR, David Marks of Silverstein, Ron Vaksin of Adam America, and Ran Eliasaf of Northwind. After an hour of mingling over signature cocktails, the invitees were seated in Tocqueville’s Parisian-inspired dining room to enjoy a five-course “East Meets West” tasting experience.
As guests tucked into the poached white asparagus with caviar and wild black sea bass with braised leeks, hon shimeji mushrooms, and ginger & lemon chutney, toasts were made and deals were done, but that wasn’t the point of the evening. The evening was about connection and bringing people together, “many of whom I’ve known for 30 years, and some who I just met tonight. I wanted to revive a sense of togetherness that has been lost in the months and years since COVID,” said Reuveni, President and CEO of Reuveni Development Marketing.
And revive he did, with few guests leaving even after the final course was cleared, and the party continuing late into the night. Nancy Ruddy raised a glass in gratitude to the host for a magical evening, honoring Reuveni as “one of those rare people within our tough world of real estate who has built his success on integrity, wisdom, humanity and dedication.”
Though the guests were a melting pot of real estate talent, the synergy in the room was palpable. “There’s one thing that connects us all,” remarked Reuveni during an address to the dinner guests. “It’s the commitment and unwavering drive to do another deal.”
The event, sponsored by Gaggenau, took place on Tuesday, June 21 at 15 East @ Tocqueville, located at 1 E 15th St.
