The strength of New York’s real estate industry can be measured by the skills and accomplishments of our community’s emerging leaders.
Each year REBNY is proud to partner with the Young Men/Women’s Real Estate Association to honor an outstanding up and coming talent with the Young Real Estate Professional of the Year Award.
At our 124th Annual Banquet, on January 16, we will have the great pleasure of presenting Robin Fisher with this award to celebrate her already outstanding career.
When Robin joined Newmark Knight Frank, she quickly established herself as a key member of the Tenant Representation team. Within her first two years, she completed a record number of transactions throughout Manhattan and the tri-state area.
Today, she is a Senior Managing Director at NKF and specializes in the tenant representation of technology, legal and business consulting firms, as well as domestic and international non-profits. Robin also advises retailers and corporate portfolio operators on strategies for local and domestic asset optimization and site selection.
During her tenure at NKF, Robin has represented Sesame Workshop, the children’s education non-profit behind the beloved TV show Sesame Street, in a complex, long-term transaction.
She renegotiated the lease on the organization’s 140,000 square-foot space across the street from Lincoln Center, including a much-needed upgrade to the facilities.
Additionally, she restructured a 500,000 square-foot North American Bank portfolio consisting primarily of retail, office and industrial assets in more than 85 transactions that resulted in a 25 percent net savings for the client.
She has handled similar projects for Burger King Corporation, which involved more than 400 US retail sites, as well as for BGC Partners, Inc, which involved approximately 250,000 square-feet across 40 national office locations.
In addition to her work at NKF, Robin is also the Founder & CEO of BLACE, an innovative online service that identifies empty and/or unique spaces that can be used for customized events, such as product launches, private chef dinners, world class conferences and corporate events.
BLACE is not only a space booking platform but also an event budget management tool that empowers its clients to navigate the complex process of event execution with confidence and ease.
Before joining NKF, Robin worked at The Blackstone Group and Cushman & Wakefield, where she gained valuable experience that shaped her skills in research and strategy helping her create ideal short and long term real estate solutions for her current clients.
Robin’s stellar achievements have earned her accolades and praise throughout the industry including Real Estate Board of New York’s Most Promising Commercial Salesperson of the Year Award, Newmark Knight Frank’s Rising Star Award and the Association of Real Estate Women’s Founder’s Award.
Robin is actively involved in the real estate community as a member of several organizations including both NKF’s Young Leadership Council and REBNY. She has served on the boards of a few organizations including the Young Men’/Women’s Real Estate Association (YMWREA) as Vice Chairman, the Executive’s Association of New York (EANYC) as President, and the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) . She volunteers her time to The River Fund and St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters, who recognized her as their Guest of Honor at the 2011 Women of Valor Event.
It will be an honor to celebrate Robin’s achievements at our banquet — and we look forward to watching her bright future unfold.
