RFR signs three new tenants at 17 State Street in Lower Manhattan

RFR Realty LLC announced today a new full-floor 14,500 s/f lease with EnTech Engineering, P.C. as well as renewals for 7,234 and 4,752 s/f  respectively with StoneTurn Group and Herbert Jamison at 17 State Street, a 42-story, 570,696 s/f office tower downtown.

EnTech Engineering, a consulting company specializing in construction, engineering, environmental inspection, safety and health, is relocating from 11 Broadway and taking a tower floor at 17 State Street.

The firm’s projects include key infrastructure work in the New York area. Examples include work on the new 2nd Avenue subway, FDR East River Drive, the Randall’s Island Water Main Extension that is planned to take place underneath the Harlem River and work on the Bayonne Bridge which links New Jersey to Staten Island.

Meanwhile, global forensic accounting and business litigation firm StoneTurn Group has reupped its lease and business and commercial insurance provider Herbert Jamison, which has been a tenant at the building for almost 25 years, also renewed its lease.

These transactions come on the heels of a 140,000 s/f lease renewal and expansion with IPsoft, Inc., a technology company that has developed an artificial intelligence called Amelia, which is a competitor to IBM’s Watson and Apple’s Siri.

“EnTech Engineering has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years and required a new space for its expanding operations, while StoneTurn Group and Herbert Jamison are both longstanding tenants who have extended their commitment to the building,” said AJ Camhi, Director of Leasing at RFR Realty.

“Each of the executives and employees will benefit from the exceptional location, prestige and breathtaking water views.”

Camhi represented RFR in-house, along with Mitch Konsker and a team from JLL that includes John Wheeler and Clayton Kline. Jonathan B. Fein of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.
