The company plans to relocate from its current offices at 601 West 26th Street to its new headquarters space during the second quarter of 2016.

Kelly Supple of the Charles Rutenberg Brokerage Agency represented Assouline in the 11-year leasing transaction while Marc Horowitz, senior vice president and director of office leasing at Cohen Brothers Realty Corp., represented the building owner. Asking rent for the space was $69 per square foot.

“We’re delighted that yet another prominent publishing company has chosen 3 Park Avenue for its corporate headquarters,” stated CEO Charles Cohen. Later this year, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will move into 35,000 square feet of offices comprising the entire 19th floor and a portion of the 18th floor at the building.

Known worldwide for graphically dynamic books on fashion, art, architecture, photography, design, and travel, and for unique library objects and accessories, Assouline has created a niche for virtually every bibliophile, with unique books that are works of art in their own right.
