Pratt Institute launches new degree program

Pratt Institute has announced a new degree program: Master of Science in Real Estate Practice (REP).
Commencing in Fall 2017, the program will help students develop the skill set to practice the business of real estate with a focus on public-private partnerships, housing and urban development, and sustainable development.

The full integration of sustainability in the graduate program is a hallmark of the Pratt School of Architecture, which will complement its existing programs: Facilities Management, Construction Management, Sustainability, Historic Preservation, Place Making and City & Regional Planning.

“With this new program, Pratt’s School of Architecture now has a trilogy of programs focused on the built environment: Construction Management, Facilities Management and Real Estate Practice. This unique and exciting program focuses on educating and training students in real estate practice at the intersection of public/private partnerships,” said Regina Ford Cahill, Chairperson at Pratt Institute.
Pratt School of Architecture has experienced historically high attendance and significantly high enrollment of women in the graduate programs.

In the Construction Management and Facilities Management programs, a growing female student body represented 33 percent of new first year students — many of whom hold undergraduate degrees in architecture.
