Colliers International has arranged a long-term renewal at 469 Seventh Avenue, with the Metropolitan Transit Authority continuing to lease the entire 11th and 14th floors, totaling 34,000 s/f.
With the MTA renewal, only the building’s top floors remain available for lease: the 17,000 s/f 15th floor; the 17,000 s/f 16th floor; and the 2,000 s/f penthouse, all with 14 ft. foot ceilings. The 10,000 s/f roof deck is also available.
“The MTA renewal brings us closer to full occupancy, which we anticipate in the next six to 12 months,” said Eric Meyer, a principal with Colliers International Tri-State, who along with fellow principal Marty Meyer arranged the lease on behalf of the building ownership.
“We are speaking with several potential tenants about our beautiful tower floors, including catering facilities and event management companies that have expressed a strong interest in the Penthouse and roof deck.”
The building is owned by Eric and Marty Meyer, and Dan Shavolian, of Foremost Real Estate.
Jodi Roberts and Josh Kuriloff, of Cushman and Wakefield, represented the MTA in the renewal.
The 267,000 s/f 469 Seventh Avenue is set at the southeast corner of West 36th Street, with convenient access to transportation, including Penn Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Additional tenants in the building include small accounting firms, advertising agencies, and administrative offices and meeting rooms for the New York City Police Department’s Manhattan South Traffic Enforcement division.
