
Nest Fragrances, the luxury home fragrance manufacturing company, has leased the entire 15,229 square foot 5th floor at Charles S. Cohen’s 3 East 54th Street for its U.S. headquarters.
The firm, which is led by its founder, Laura Slatkin, a former Wall Street executive, expects to relocate from 601 West 26th Street to its new offices during the second quarter of 2013.
The Cushman & Wakefield team of Bruce Mosler and David Glassman, together with Marc Horowitz of Cohen Brothers Realty Corp., represented the building owner in the 10-year leasing transaction. Clark Finney and Cynthia Foster of Cushman & Wakefield represented Nest Fragrances. Asking rent at 3 East 54th Street is $55 a square foot.
Still available for lease at the distinctive 20-story, 200,000 square foot office tower are 15,000 square foot full floors in the base of the building.
After selling her original home fragrance business to a Fortune 500 retail company in 2005, Ms. Slatkin formed Nest Fragrances, which focuses exclusively on the private label segment of the marketplace. In 2008, she unveiled her own collection of scented candles that’s debuted at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and fine specialty stores worldwide.
