Melyssa Ford is joining luxury brokerage Blu Realty Group as a broker.
She will be working directly with Alon Chadad and Moshe Balalo , founders of Blu Realty Group.
“We are extremely excited to have Melyssa on board with Blu Realty,” said Chadad. “Ms. Ford will add a high net worth clientele base to our already diverse client list in New York.”
The company said Ford will bring in wealthy clients from both the entertainment and professional sports worlds, where she is widely known for being one of the nations’ top urban supermodels.
She has already closed a $15 million sale on Central Park South with the help of Chadad, who has been mentoring the new recruit as she completes the Blu Realty Group training program.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Ford attended York University and majored in Forensic Psychology.
She was discovered by a Canadian video director and began a career as a model/actress shortly after. Complex Magazine named Ford “Video Vixen of the Decade” as well as number 43 in their “100 Hottest Women of the Decade” list in 2012.
Once Ford noticed how large of an impact she had on her audience, she began using it to her advantage and educating the African American community on HIV/ AIDS prevention and awareness.
In 2010, she created “L.E.S.S Is More”, a non-profit organization that provides young girls with visible female leadership and positive female role models.
She also created “Smart Cookies Don’t Crumble”, a blog that is geared toward guiding young women through the trials and tribulations of life.
