NYC real estate brokerage firm Charles Rutenberg, LLC announced the appointment of real estate veteran Chris Lipman as Residential Sales Manager. Lipman will be in charge of Rutenberg’s residential business.
Lipman joins Academy for Coaching and Training (ACT) real estate experts Esther Muller and Faith Hope Consolo with the responsibility for mentoring Rutenberg’s agents with one-on-one guidance and weekly seminars.
“Chris’s leadership, market knowledge and empathetic and good nature makes him an excellent choice for Residential Sales Manager. Chris has sold homes in every neighborhood and type of building in Manhattan, and his ability to close deals quickly will be a valuable asset to him in training and mentoring agents,” said Stefani Markowitz, President of Rutenberg.
Lipman has over two decades of management and industry experience. Before joining Rutenberg as an agent, Lipman was the Director of Sales for Harlem Lofts, and at Tungsten Property. He had also previously been a partner at Carol E. Levy Real Estate.
“I have been with Rutenberg for many years as an agent and am thrilled to be in this new role focusing on the firm’s residential business,” said Lipman. “At Rutenberg, agents who thrive are inspired by entrepreneurship, independence and the thrill of closing the deal. My personal experience with this process will allow me to help our agents see the value in these qualities.”
Lipman will report to Stefani Markowitz, Rutenberg’s president and the granddaughter of its co-founder, Richie Friedman.
Lipman has been an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York since 2001, and served as co-chair in a leadership position from 2008 to 2012. As a lifelong New Yorker, he graduated from The Cooper Union with a BFA in Photography and a special interest in Architecture.
