Ismael Leyva Architects has been tapped to design the planned residential condominiums at 140 West Street, the former Verizon Building in Lower Manhattan.
Magnum Real Estate Group last month announced a deal to pay $274 million for the top 22 floors and a sub-basement level of the building.
It intends to construct 475,000 s/f of luxury residences within the 1.2 million square foot building.
Designated as a NYC landmark, 140 West Street is in southern TriBeCa, between 101 Warren Street and the new World Trade Center complex.
This is Ismael Leyva Architects’ third project with Magnum Real Estate Group.

Ismael Leyva Architects’ has also performed landmark conversion services for River Lofts in TriBeCa and 15 Broad Street in New York City; 110 Livingston in Brooklyn and The Beacon in Jersey City, which is one of the largest residential conversion projects in the country and the largest in the history of New Jersey.
