IN PICTURES: Duane Morris welcomes Vietnamese president

Duane Morris welcomed His Excellency Mr. Truong Tan Sang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to the firm’s New York office.

President Sang delivered important remarks on the effects of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) for the future of United States and Vietnamese trade relations. President Sang was joined on the dais by H.E. Cao Duc Phat, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, and H.E. Dang Huy Dong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.

The post-address conversation was facilitated by Ms. Tami Overby, Senior Vice President, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Alexander Feldman, President & CEO, US-ASEAN Business Council. Business leaders from both the United States and Vietnam were given a rare opportunity to pose questions to President Sang and his ministers regarding the TPP and their vision for Vietnamese economic growth.

In addition to the esteemed panelists, other distinguished members of the Vietnamese delegation attending the event included the Minister of Construction; the Vice Minister of Public Security; the Vice Minister of Education; Mr. Pham Quang Vinh, Ambassador of Vietnam to the United States; and Dr. Vu Tien Loc, President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI); as well as the heads of 40 major Vietnamese businesses.
