Celebrated modernist master, GSAA, and innovative, market-savvy veteran, GKA, are uniting to extend their reach and provide a full spectrum of architectural services to residential, commercial and institutional clients.
Gene Kaufman Architect (GKA) will retain the same name, while GSAA is becoming Gwathmey Siegel Kaufman & Associates (GSKA), reflecting Kaufman’s new role as principal of GSKA. He will serve as the chief executive officer of both firms. GSAA leadership will continue to be provided by Robert Siegel, FAIA, founding partner of the firm.
“There is an inherent synergy between our firms,” said Siegel. “Our diverse viewpoints are coming together in a healthy, intuitive way. Merging our expertise benefits everyone, most of all our clients. I believe working cooperatively is crucial to success, and I am looking forward to exploring and achieving all the potential of this exciting partnership.”
“In response to an ever-changing marketplace, we are building on our collective experience to deliver unparalleled results for every client and commission,” said Kaufman.
“Our combined resume encompasses every project type and, while each firm will maintain its own identity, together, the collaboration will foster a mutually beneficial cross fertilization of ideas, knowledge and opportunities.”
