Jonathan Ashley and his wife, Susan Amy Ashley, have sold a condo at Extell Development Co.’s Ariel West for $6.07 million, according to city records.
Ashley is the chief operating officer of Newcastle Investment Corp., a real estate company and affiliate of hedge fund giant Fortress Investment Group.
The buyer was Eric Leathers, managing director of Pine Brook Road Partners, LLC, a private equity firm, and his wife, Heather Ibrahim-Leathers.
The Ashleys purchased the condo, Unit #17A, from sponsor Extell for $6.49 million in May 2008.
Residents at the 73-unit Ariel West, at 245 West 99th Street, recently voted to ban smoking, one of the first such bans in the city. Extell also developed an adjacent building, the 64-unit Ariel East, at 2628 Broadway. Both buildings were completed in 2007 and were marketed by Corcoran Sunshine. and are now completely sold.
