Douglas Elliman adds star team of Postilio and Conlon

Douglas Elliman Real Estate has announced that the team of Tom Postilio and Mickey Conlon, two of New York City’s top brokers, will be joining the firm.

Consistently recognized for their  high-profile clientele and record-shattering deals, Postilio and Conlon are responsible for over $1.5 billion in residential sales.

“Tom & Mickey are two of the brightest superstars in the business. Internationally recognized as industry trailblazers, their vision of connecting global communities and lifestyles is perfectly aligned with our brand,” said Howard M. Lorber, chairman of Douglas Elliman.  “We welcome them to the firm and look forward to their continued growth and success.”

The pair has become the top-pick for a Who’s Who list of celebrity clients that includes Barry Manilow, Joan Collins, Michael Feinstein, Liza Minnelli, and David Sanborn, among others.

“Well-respected for their collective experience, trusted business relationships and cultural & social influences, Tom and Mickey are true leaders in their field,” said Dottie Herman, president & CEO of Douglas Elliman.

“We are thrilled to welcome them to the firm and look forward to continuing to grow our brands together.”

Prior to joining Douglas Elliman, Postilio was a founding member of CORE, where he spent 10 years helping develop into a major player in the New York real estate landscape.

He starred on HGTV’s reality series “Selling New York” and is frequently called upon for his expertise in the market.

Prior to beginning his career in real estate, Postilio was a professional singer of the Great American Songbook, and toured both nationally and internationally as the lead vocalist with the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

Conlon  obtained his New York real estate license during his freshman year at Duke University. He began his career as a Broadway producer, where he cultivated relationships that bolstered not only his network and visibility, but also his reputation as a “broker to the stars” during his subsequent tenure at CORE. Conlon also regularly starred on HGTV’s “Selling New York.”

“We are eager to expand our business and align ourselves with such a well-respected, powerhouse brand,” said Tom Postilio.

“Leveraging the strength and reach of the Douglas Elliman | Knight Frank Residential platform, the world’s largest connected network of luxury properties, we’re proud to offer our clientele the finest resources and market insight available in the industry,” added Conlon.

Postilio and Conlon have lent their notoriety to assisting several charitable causes; most recently as hosts of the Bailey House Gala & Auction at Chelsea Piers, and as board members of the Great American Songbook Foundation.

They serve as jurors for the Architizer A+ Awards, the largest architectural awards program in the world, and are proud supporters of Landmark West!, The Beaux Arts Alliance, The New York Historical Society, and the Central Park Conservancy.

Both native New Yorkers, Tom & Mickey are members of the Real Estate Board of New York, which has awarded them the designation of Certified Negotiation Experts.
