Roosevelt Island is home to 16,000 residents today. There is approximately 105,000 s/f of retail divided into 33 spaces along Main Street that Hudson and Related own and operate. Roosevelt Island features new street-scape lighting, signage, and custom benches, outdoor parks and fields as well as indoor swimming, tennis, basketball, squash, and steam rooms, and breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline.  It is accessible by the F train, tram from Second Avenue and East 60th Street, city bus, or car.  Neighboring retailers include Starbucks, Duane Reade, Wholesome Factory Organic Market, Union Medical Urgent Care, Main Street Sweets, Subway, Gristedes, River Walk Café and a branch of the New York Public Library.

The Cornell Tech Campus Development, a $2 billion project over a 12-acre campus broke ground on Roosevelt Island in spring 2015.  It will provide housing for 2,000 students and 280 faculty members and provide 20,000 construction jobs and 8,000 permanent jobs. In addition, Four Freedoms Park, featuring a monument to FDR, is a growing destination for locals and tourists.

A Cushman & Wakefield team of Michael Azarian, Jill Lovatt and Tyler King will serve as exclusive leasing agents.

“The island is well positioned for an immediate growth in retail options in connection with its quickly growing population, tourist attractions and the development of Cornell Tech,” said Azarian, a Cushman & Wakefield Director. “We are really looking forward to redefining the island alongside Hudson and Related.”
