Thor Equities has leased its 8,300 s/f retail property at 725 Eighth Avenue in the Theater District to Cabo Wabo Cantina.
The five-level building (rendering above) will be home to the first Cabo Wabo Cantina on the East Coast.
Founded by Sammy Hagar, the original restaurant and bar debuted in Cabo San Lucas in 1990. Additional Cantinas are now located in Las Vegas, Hollywood and Lake Tahoe. “They could not have chosen a better location for their first Manhattan restaurant,” said Joe Sitt, principal of Thor Equities.
725 Eighth Avenue was previously leased to Wahlburgers, the hamburger chain run by actor Mark Wahlberg’s family.
