The Blumenfeld Development Group (BDG) and its partner Guido Passarelli & Sons, announced that they have committed to expanding BDG’s existing Bricktown Center in Staten Island, NY.
The 400,000 s/f retail center, located at 2900 Veterans Road West, with tenants including Home Depot, Target, Christmas Tree Shops, and Applebee’s, will be joined by four new buildings totaling approximately 200,000 s/f on the adjacent 11 acres of land.
“The expansion of the Bricktown Center is an example of our commitment to developing projects throughout New York City’s five boroughs,” said Jonathan Cohen, vice president, Blumenfeld Development Group.
“We are glad that the extra development at Bricktown Center will provide consumers a wider choice of retail opportunities. The first phase is such a success that demand warranted an expansion.”
Zoning is in place and construction has commenced. The foundation work for the first of the four buildings, which will house TJ Maxx, Michael’s and Ulta Beauty, was completed this past winter and is set to open by the first quarter of 2016.
