Asset managers take floor

Colliers International has arranged a long-term renewal at Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation’s Class A 135 East 57th Street, with the Compass Group continuing to lease the entire 30th floor.

Founded in New York in 1995, the Compass Group is an investment management firm with a primary focus on emerging markets, fundamentally in Latin America, with more than $23 billion under management.

“The Compass Group is a premier asset management firm that wanted to remain in the Plaza District,” said David Kaplansky, a Managing Director with Colliers International, who arranged the lease on behalf of the tenant.

“This magnificent trophy tower offers incredible, unobstructed views and a cachet that dovetails with the tenant’s client profile.”

Marc Horowitz, Senior Vice President and Director of Leasing for Cohen Brothers, represented the landlord in-house in the transaction.
