Jan. 22: The New York Association of Realty Managers presents Jay L. Hack, Esq. on, “What you must do to be ready for the New York State Anti-Hacking Law that is effective this March.” This law is also applicable a building’s superintendent office. Enforcement, compliance and consequences for businesses and organizations failing to adhere to SHIELD – Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data. Those in possession of an employees, customers or building occupants private information are now more responsible for the safety and security of that data. Final compliance deadline 3/21/2020. NYARM Engineering Seminar

Jan. 29: The New York Association of Realty Managers presents William T. Payne, P.E., Vice President/Principal O&S on “Requirements Enacted for Periodic Inspection of Parking Garages.” Existing buildings must complete an initial condition assessment prior to Oct 1, 2019, Oct 1, 2020, or Oct 1, 2021, depending on the date of the original construction. Following the initial condition assessment of a parking garage, such parking garage shall undergo periodic condition assessments every three years.
