Microgrid Seminar
Feb. 11: Bryan Cave LLP will host a half-day seminar on the New York microgrid and distributed generation initiatives. Attendees will learn about emerging regulatory reforms, financing opportunities and the benefits of investing in microgrids in New York. The seminar will begin with keynote speaker Richard Kauffman, chairman of energy and finance, office of New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo. Kauffman leads the governor’s strategic energy policy, Reforming the Energy Vision (REV). He will speak about this broad initiative, including the financing and partnership opportunities available through the New York Green Bank, and the $40 million NY Prize Competition to improve the resiliency of New York state’s electrical grid through innovative microgrid development partnerships among utility companies, local governments and the private sector. Charles Zielinski will also discuss Public Service Commission REV initiatives. Zielinski is a former chair of the Public Service Commission. DC Partner Donna Rodney will discuss federal tax credit incentives and private financing available to construct the renewable energy components of a microgrid. New York Partner J. Kevin Healy will emcee the program.

Feb 26: The 2015 BOMA/NY Pinnacle Awards Ceremony will be held at Chelsea Piers 60. The cocktail reception will be from 6-6:45 p.m.and the dinner will run from 7-8:30 p.m.. The awards are the culmination of competition held throughout 2014 in which commercial office buildings in New York City are judged according to the BOMA International standard of ownership and operational management excellence in these categories: Historical, Government, New Construction, Earth, Renovated and Operating Office Building (by size).

MIPIM Conference
March 10-13: The power of the crowd – a game changer in commercial real estate, will take place March 10 at 4 pm at the MIPIM conference organized in partnership with Allianz Real Estate. The event will take place at Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France. Nicolas Ferrary, CEO of Airbnb France, will speak as part of the MIPIM conference program. Landmarks Exhibition
April 21: The Museum of the City of New York presents SAVING PLACE: 50 Years of New York City Landmarks, an exhibition exploring the roots and impact of a landmark preservation movement. The exhibition will close on September 13, 2015.
