IFMA Awards
JAN. 29: The International Facility Management Association New York City Chapter (IFMA NYC) will host its Awards for Excellence Dinner at 6:00pm to 10:00pm at The Pierre Hotel – Ballroom in New York City (2 East 61st Street, between Madison Avenue and Fifth Avenue).
Data Privacy and Protection Seminar
FEB. 3: The international law firm Bryan Cave LLP is participating in this year’s National Data Privacy Day by hosting a data privacy and protection seminar in the firm’s New York office on Feb. 3 between 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Attendees will learn responsible privacy enhancing and data security practices to help prevent, detect, contain and remediate identity theft and breach threats. The seminar will begin with keynote speaker Maureen K. Ohlhausen, commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission. Three interactive panels will follow in the morning, one moderated by DC and Boulder Partner David Zetoony. Zetoony is the leader of the firm’s global Data Privacy & Security Practice. BOMA/NY Pinnacle Awards
Feb. 26: The 2015 BOMA/NY Pinnacle Awards Ceremony will be held at Chelsea Piers 60. The cocktail reception will be from 6-6:45 PM and the dinner will run from 7-8:30 PM. Oscar style ceremony winners are revealed only when “envelopes” are unsealed that night; culmination of competition held throughout 2014 in which commercial office buildings in New York City are judged according to the BOMA International standard of ownership and operational management excellence in these categories: Historical, Government, New Construction, Earth, Renovated and Operating Office Building (by size).
MIPIM Conference

Mar. 10-13: “The power of the crowd – a game changer in commercial real estate,” will take place at 4 pm at the MIPIM conference organized in partnership with Allianz Real Estate. The event will take place at Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France. “The impact of big and open data on the property industry” will take place Marth 13 and will involve input from Canadian, US and Belgian companies. Nicolas Ferrary, CEO of Airbnb France will be speaking as part of the MIPIM conference program.
