Todd E. Korren has joined EVO Real Estate Group, a member of NAI Global, as a principal and its chief operating officer, announced Dana L. Moskowitz, the firm’s president.
Most recently, Korren served as executive managing director at Massey Knakal, where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the 57-person sales force and the tri-state area’s retail leasing division.
Previously, he was a principal and director of leasing at Savanna. Other career highlights include senior positions at Swig Equities, Rockrose Development Corp. and The Witkoff Group.
In his new role at EVO, Korren will oversee the brokerage division and focus on business development, infrastructure and day-to-day operations.
A licensed real estate broker in New York, Korren holds an M.B.A and B.S. in management from New York University.
He has received many industry honors, including the Real Estate Board of New York’s Young Real Estate Man of the Year in 2009.
JLL has hired Natalie Touzet as a vice president in its New York office.
She will be responsible for overseeing client relationships and strategic partnerships, complete financial analysis of overseas investments, and generate international business and market analysis.
Touzet has more than 12 years of experience in global business endeavors. Her expertise focuses on business decision-making, lending support to clients in litigation matters, managing investigative and business intelligence projects, risk assessment and economic development.
Prior to joining JLL, Touzet served as an investment manager with Catalonia Trade & Invest, where she assisted companies based in the United States and Canada with projects to establish operations in the Catalonia region of Spain.
She has worked with several confidential biotech/medical device companies involved in advanced drug trials and newly patented technologies.
Earlier, she was a senior analyst with Kroll, where she managed business intelligence and investigation projects for U.S., European and Latin American businesses.
Before that, Touzet worked with companies that included Citigate Global Intelligence and Nippon Export and Investment Insurance, handling business intelligence investigations, and mergers and acquisitions advisory efforts for European and Latin American operations and investments.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Connecticut College in New London, Conn. Touzet also earned a bachelor’s degree in government and a master’s degree in government from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
She is fluent in French, Spanish and English, and has lived in France, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
JLL has hired Richard Neuman as a vice president with its Long Island office.
He will oversee the firm’s Project and Development Services group on Long Island, focusing his efforts on expanding the team’s presence in the market.
Neuman has more than 25 years of experience in the Long Island market, specializing in construction and move management, and facility management.
Neuman also has a strong background in the operation, design and construction of sophisticated television broadcast studios.
Prior to joining JLL, Neuman served as owner’s representative and senior project manager with Relocation Management Solutions Inc.
Earlier, he was vice president of broadcast facilities and operations at News Broadcast Network, where he designed, built and managed the firm’s broadcast facilities for 12 years.
He has also served as general manager at Times Square Studios Inc., where he oversaw one of New York’s largest television studios that broadcast programs such as “The Montel Williams Show,” Nickelodeon offerings, and many sports and variety shows.
Neuman earned a bachelor’s degree in science from Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y.
New York Life Real Estate Investors announced the appointment of Paul Behar as Senior Director and Head of Business Development.
Based in the firm’s New York City office, Behar will lead the team’s investor relations and distribution efforts which will include coordinating communications, marketing strategy, and relationship building efforts with New York Life Real Estate Investors’ existing and prospective investors and clients.
Behar reports to Mark Talgo, Senior Managing Director, head of New York Life Real Estate Investors.
Behar joins New York Life from Hunt Companies, where he was a senior vice president focused on capital formation and acquisitions.
Prior to Hunt’s acquisition of the Tuckerman group from State Street Global Advisors, Behar was a senior vice president at Tuckerman focused on acquisitions and portfolio management.
He brings over 12 years of institutional real estate experience to the business and earned a BA in Economics and English from Colgate University and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
AssetAvenue, an online lending platform for commercial real estate loans, announced that Varun Pathria has joined the company as Chief Investment Officer.
Most recently, Pathria was Senior Vice President at Colony Capital, a global real estate private equity firm.
During his eleven year tenure at Colony, Pathria closed on transactions valued in excess of $20 billion focused on opportunistic equity acquisitions, high yield debt originations and acquisitions, and certain portfolio management activities focused on restructurings and corporate platform investments.
Notably, Pathria played a key role in a number of high profile Colony investments, including Fairmont Hotels, William Lyon Homes, and the Jameson hotel portfolio.
Pathria received his B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1996 and went on to the UCLA School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1999 with a specialization in Corporate Law.
Pathria subsequently obtained his Masters in Business Administration in 2004 with a focus on Finance and Real Estate from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Charles has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial real estate law, including, partnerships and joint ventures, financing for borrowers and lenders, acquisitions and sales, and development and leasing.
His client base includes private equity funds, financial institutions, developers and operators in the acquisition, financing, development, sale and leasing of all classes of commercial properties including office, hotel, multi-family, retail, public storage, mixed use and condominium properties.
Charles focuses on structuring transactions for institutional investors and opportunity funds such as joint ventures, preferred equity investments, mezzanine financing and mixed debt/equity investments.
He was formerly a partner in King & Spalding’s Capital Transactions and Real Estate Group.
He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in political science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1983 where he graduated with honors from the College of Arts and Sciences. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1986.
ING Real Estate Finance announced the appointment of Craig Bender as Managing Director.
He will be reunited with Jeffrey Schwartz as Vice President. Based in New York City, Bender will lead ING’s re-launch of its U.S. real estate lending operations.
Bender will be responsible for developing and managing ING’s portfolio of U.S. commercial real estate loans.
Working closely with Bender, Schwartz will be responsible for loan originating, underwriting and portfolio management of new client loan commitments.
Bender joins ING from BBVA Compass, where he was Senior Vice President and Market Manager. Joining BBVA in 2013, he was the bank’s first employee in the New York office and became the firm’s highest producing commercial real estate banker in the U.S. in 2014.
Previously, Bender spent 10 years with ING Real Estate Finance where he was Director and Group Head and oversaw the management of a $5 billion portfolio and the wind-down of ING’s real estate lending platform from 2012 – 2013.
Jeffrey Schwartz joins ING from JPMorgan Real Estate Banking, where beginning in 2013 he served as Senior Underwriter and then Vice President/Underwriting Manager.
He was responsible for evaluating, underwriting, sizing, and structuring commercial real estate credit facilities across an aggregate in upwards of $5 billion.
Prior to JPMorgan, Schwartz worked with ING Real Estate for nearly 6 years serving as an Associate of Commercial Real Estate Originations, Underwriting & Portfolio Management.
Dan Wurtzel, President of FirstService Residential New York, has been elected a director of the Realty Advisory Board on Labor Relations, Inc. (RAB).
The RAB negotiates collective bargaining agreements on behalf of commercial and residential building owners that employ the building service industry’s major unions.
Those include the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 32BJ, Local 94, International Union of Operation Engineers (IUOE), and other craft groups.
The RAB also advises and represents its members in the administration of their collective bargaining agreements and in matters concerning personnel and human resources. The organization has more than 4,000 commercial and residential building members in addition to building maintenance contractor members who employ more than 20,000 union members.
As President of FirstService Residential New York, Wurtzel oversees management of more than 500 condominium, cooperative and rental properties comprising 70,000 apartments while directing leadership development, organizational growth and strategic initiatives.

CBRE Group, Inc. announced that Ralph Giordano has joined its Midtown office brokerage group as a Senior Vice President.
Giordano brings with him nearly two decades of experience in the industry.
Earlier in his career, he was a vice president at CBRE from 1999 to 2004. Most recently, Giordano was a senior managing director at DTZ. Prior to that, he was a managing director at Trammell Crow from 2004 to 2008.
Giordano has worked with an array of noteworthy global clients including Citibank, Coty, JPMorgan Chase and Random House.
He has managed real estate portfolios in excess of 75 locations, and spearheaded projects ranging from large-scale consolidations to sale leasebacks and multimarket relocations.
Among his major assignments, Giordano completed the assemblage of a 300,000 s/f corporate headquarters at The Empire State Building, the sale of a 450,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Mt. Olive, New Jersey, and a 350,000 s/f consolidation and extension at 1745 Broadway.
Giordano holds a Bachelor’s in International Relations from Towson University.
Colliers International has added to its expanding roster of young talent with Hubert R. “Reggie” Wills, III, who has been named an Associate Director in the firm’s New York office.
Most recently a Senior Associate at DTZ, Wills will focus on a broad range of collaborative activities, including outreach to the TAMI sector, with a focus on Downtown Manhattan and Midtown South, as well as supporting Colliers’ agency practice.
As a young real estate professional, Wills adds to Colliers growing diversity program. He will work directly on the team of Executive Managing Director Eric Yarbro.
Prior to DTZ, Wills was an Associate at Cushman & Wakefield. He began his career as a Researcher at CBRE, before adding Associate responsibilities to the mix.
While at CBRE, he was awarded the Rising Star of the Year award in (2010) for his high-impact marketing strategies and sales campaigns that heighted the visibility of properties such as 414 West 14th Street, 14 Wall Street and 625 Avenue of the Americas.
Wills holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Wesley College.
