WHO’S NEWS: Rockwood Capital promotes five

RIPCO Real Estate announced that Michael J. Fasano, an industry veteran with 20-plus years’ commercial real estate experience, has joined the company as a Managing Partner to oversee its investment sales platform.

Fasano joins the firm from Marcus & Millichap where he worked for 18 years and most recently served as First Vice President.

Fasano will be responsible for growing the firm’s investment sales division throughout its five offices, which include Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Prior to serving as First Vice President of Marcus & Millichap in Atlanta, Fasano was Vice President at the company’s New Jersey office.

He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and New Jersey Apartment Association.

He is also graduate of Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science.

Andrea Mancino has been promoted to Executive Vice President, New York at Bright Power.

Mancino previously served as Director of New Construction, a division she co-founded within in the company. She managed ground-up new construction, oversaw long-term strategic planning for the firm’s new construction unit and commissioned projects.

Before joinging Bright Power, Mancino worked with a utility provider and a residential energy auditing provider. She is a graduate of CUNY Lehman College.

Mancino is very active in the industry, consulting with government agencies, green building programs, clients, and product manufacturers to ensure efficiency and sustainability goals can be met through proper goal setting and alignment.

NAI Mertz announced David Russo, sales associate, has joined its team of professionals. In his new role, Russo will focus on retail, medical and office space listings.

Previously, Russo was the founder of a building services company, which he owned and operated for more than a decade.

His background includes executive positions in several industries including hospitality, title insurance, building security and facility services. Most recently, he sold facility service solutions to leading corporations in the retail, education and healthcare sectors.

Russo holds a B.S. in Movement and Sports Studies from East Stroudsburg University. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in New Jersey.

Rockwood Capital has promoted five members of its senior investment and corporate teams. Beau Baiocchi is moving from Director to Managing Director. He focuses on West Coast asset management and is the portfolio manager for one of Rockwood’s separate account initiatives. Baiocchi has been with Rockwood since 2004.

Marti Breier is moving from Associate General Counsel, Investments, to General Counsel. Breier will serve as chief legal officer and have overall responsibility for the firm’s legal affairs. Breier has been with Rockwood since 2009.

Jaclyn Chou, moving from Director, Financial Operations, to Executive Director, Financial Operations. Chou is responsible for Rockwood’s Financial Operations function, including accounting and reporting, portfolio analytics, cash management, and investor reporting. She has been with Rockwood since 2005.

Matthew Friedman, moving from Director to Managing Director. Friedman focuses on acquisitions and select asset management responsibilities across property sectors in the Denver, Seattle and Portland markets. Friedman has been with Rockwood since 2009.

Richard Kramer, moving from Director to Managing Director. Kramer focuses on acquisitions across property sectors in the Boston and Washington, D.C. markets. Kramer has been with Rockwood since 2003.

Blank Rome LLP announced that Seth A. Liebenstein has joined the Firm’s Real Estate group as Of Counsel in the New York office,.

Liebenstein joins Blank Rome from Belkin Burden Goldman, LLP, and focuses his practice on transactional real estate law.

He manages transactions for numerous property owners, developers, generational real estate families, and an array of investors

He is also experienced in handling all aspects of commercial leasing.

Liebenstein received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from Binghamton University.

Prior to practicing law, he was a commercial real estate broker.
