Mitchel Maidman, Townhouse president and chief executive officer (CEO) announced that under the new structure, Arlene Maidman, who has been executive vice president of Townhouse for years, and Dagny Maidman, who is a senior managing director and portfolio manager at First Republic Investment Management in San Francisco, will become non-executive co-chairs of Townhouse’s Board, succeeding chairman Richard H.M. Maidman, who passed away December 9, 2016.

Michael Kalomiris, who joined Townhouse in 2015, was promoted to chief operating officer (COO).

“I am pleased and excited to continue working with my talented wife and look forward to my sister’s thoughtful input in our macro business strategies,” said Maidman.

“Townhouse Management was founded by my grandfather William Maidman in 1933. Over the last 50 years my father Richard helped guide Townhouse to acquire, develop and manage thousands of units in hundreds of properties throughout the New York metropolitan area.

“With our capable team, we will continue to build on the success of Richard’s caring and effective stewardship.”

Arlene Maidman, who is Mitchel’s wife, has been responsible for business development at Townhouse Management and has extensive experience sourcing, negotiating and closing commercial real estate transactions.

She played an integral role in some of Townhouse’s largest transactions including acquisition of The Chelsea, an 18 story, 204-unit apartment building at 160 West 24th Street.

She previously conducted acquisitions for Pine Equity N.Y. and directed residential sales for Global Equities. She earned a B.S. in psychology from Tufts University.

Dagny Maidman, Maidman’s sister and daughter of Richard H.M. Maidman, has 19 years of experience in investment management.

She has been recognized by Barron’s as a Top Advisor and appeared on CNBC and in Time Magazine.

She previously worked for Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers and Montgomery Securities. Before moving to financial services, Ms. Maidman was a corporate litigator at McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enerson in San Francisco. She has a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Williams College and a J.D. from Yale Law School.

As COO of Townhouse, Michael Kalomiris will continue to focus on sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities and oversee operations including asset management, development and property management.

Townhouse also includes Maidman and Mittelman, LLP,  a law firm with practice concentrations in the areas of real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures, leasing, construction and development as well as general litigation matters.
