TOWN brokers watching you watching them

By Dan Orlando

TOWN Residential is set to partner with Today’s Business, a social media optimization firm based in New Jersey.
“We never want a client or a customer to think that we’re not engaged. Because we are,” said Danielle Garofalo, the director of digital marketing at Town. “We wanted to communicate in a form that our clients are comfortable communicating in.”

Garofalo told Brokers Weekly that the need to have a real-time digital presence has become a necessity in residential real estate. 24/7 access is now something clients expect, especially at the luxury level.

“We have 600 brokers, we have 100 employees,” said Garofalo. “We want to make sure that there are things that don’t get missed. Social Media is fleeting, it’s constant, it’s 24/hours a day.”

“What’s important to us as far as digital marketing goes, is that we make ourselves part of the conversation and not just let the conversation happen around us,” Garofalo continued.

“From our perspective, we want to tell the stories that are going on inside of our company, the stories that are going on outside of our company and social media is the way to do that.”

Today’s Business will not be creating any of the original content that TOWN will share with followers, but will be acting as a set of “extra eyes” for the brokerage across its presence on pages like Twitter and Facebook.

The company’s staff will help TOWN more efficiently share content as well as aid in answering questions submitted by clients any of the brokerage’s social profiles.

“They allow us to do what we do, they allow us to work and create the content while they monitor,” said Garofalo. “Their strength is not real estate, that’s not why I chose them. I chose them because they have the ability to do the monitoring that we need.”

Today’s Business handles the social media needs of several businesses across the country, ranging from smaller enterprises to entire professional sports organizations, such as the Cleveland Cavaliers.
