The Shoe Box, an Upper East Side fashion staple for more than two decades, has relocated to a bigger location.
Gregory Tannor, executive vice president/principal, and Corey Horowitz, executive managing director/principal of Lee & Associates NYC LLC, arranged a long-term lease for The Shoe Box at 1277 Third Avenue, between East 73rd and East 74th Streets.
The family-owned designer footwear retailer signed a 15-year lease, with five-year option, for a 3,600 s/f double-level space, formerly occupied by a Scoop NYC men’s store. Move-in is anticipated within the next month.
“It was important for us to help a revered retailer remain in its neighborhood,” said Tannor, who spearheads the KT Group at Lee NYC.
“We saw an opportunity for a welcome expansion only a few blocks from their other store, and we ran with it”
Added Horowitz, “This is a retail family that knows how to position their brand and stay current, which is why The Shoe Box continues to thrive in brick and mortar and e-commerce. The move will be a quick turnaround, so none of their loyal customers will have to miss the newest styles.”
Neighboring stores include Gracious Home, Olivia & Bette’s, Shynn and Men’s Wearhouse, among others.
Tannor and Horowitz represented the tenant. The landlord, Peter Franco, was represented by Glasser Realty LLC. Asking rent was $186 psf.
