More than 400 real estate professionals gathered recently at The Centurion® luxury condominium, located at 33 West 56th Street, to celebrate the start of summer with an island-themed party on one of the largest terraces available in Midtown Manhattan. The terrace is connected to a 1,482-square-foot two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath residence, listed at $3.8 million, that offers as much square footage outdoors as indoors.
Hawaiian dancers and musicians set the island mood on the terrace as guests sipped on Tiki drinks — over 1,200 were served over the course of the evening — and nibbled on tropical hors d’oeuvres.
“With this event, we wanted to showcase for our guests the beauty of this expansive terrace,” said Thomas Guss, president of New York Residence, Inc., the exclusive sales and marketing agency for The Centurion. “For anyone who likes to entertain, this home is the perfect oasis in the middle of Manhattan.”
Guests also toured the building’s stunning 3,365-square-foot, floor-through penthouse, where design renderings for the space by Pei Partnership Architects’ Partner L.C. (Sandi) Pei were on display. Pei is available to buyers who wish to complete or customize the design work, which includes contemporary as well as traditional schemes.
The Centurion, now about 80 percent sold, is the only building in New York City that has the pedigree of internationally renowned Pei Partnership Architects and I.M. Pei as design architect. A full-service building, The Centurion offers amenities including a private exercise facility, a 24-hour attended garage, a doorman, resident superintendent and storage units for purchase. Residents will also only be steps away from superb dining, entertainment, hotels, museums, city landmarks and Central Park.
