DGSIR chief executive officer Deirdre O’Connell said, “DGNY Commercial represents an extraordinary opportunity for us to broaden our impact in this important market.

“Over the past decade, we have brokered a number of significant commercial transactions in New York City, the Hamptons, and elsewhere on the Island. It’s time for us to stake an ever greater claim with DGNY Commercial.”

In the last two years, DGSIR has sold the iconic Gansett Green Manor in Amagansett, the Inn at East Hampton and a retail shopping center in Bethpage.

Alison Faranello has been named chief operating officer, DGNY Commercial.

A former director of corporate development, Faranello has been working on the launch of DGNY Commercial for the past year. She joined DGSIR five years ago after a career in commercial and investment banking.

A graduate of Boston University’s Questrom School of Business with an M.B.A. from Fordham, she will be supported by John Magnani, who has been named executive director and Michael Tucker has been named managing director.
