Silverstein unveils upgrades at 529 Fifth

Silverstein Properties has unveiled plans for a new amenity floor and a modern storefront aesthetic that will revitalize 529 Fifth Avenue.

Silverstein Properties has tapped JLL as the exclusive leasing agent for this Midtown East office tower.

“529 Fifth Avenue’s capital improvements plan marks our investment in Midtown East,” said Jeremy Moss, Executive Vice President at Silverstein Properties. “In addition to a beautiful amenity space and refreshed lobby, we are transforming the ground floor retail space into a venue that can accommodate a variety of tenants, and will eventually serve as an amenity for the building and greater neighborhood.”

Located two blocks from Grand Central Terminal, 529 Fifth Avenue is a contemporary, 20-story office building that has the prestige of Fifth Avenue and convenience of proximity to Bryant Park.

Situated on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 44th Street, this Class-A property is positioned to meet the needs of today’s talent focused firms.

The new amenity space at 529 Fifth Avenue will be designed by integrated design firm Architecture + Information (A+I) who recently completed notable tenant spaces for Equinox and Peloton.

The new amenity space and terrace is called The Willow

The amenity space is branded The Willow, and will be a destination for the building’s workforce that balances sophisticated hospitality with holistic wellness.

The branding is a reference to the site’s history as home of Ye Olde Willow Cottage, a 19th century tavern whose namesake willow tree was the last remaining one along Fifth Avenue as it developed uptown.

Tenants will be able to convene, relax, and enjoy fresh air on the building’s terrace and will have access to the INSPIRE Your Day amenity app by Silverstein Properties. INSPIRE Your Day provides tenants with hospitality-focused services ranging from an on-site hospitality ambassador to social and wellness programming.

“Silverstein Properties recognizes the importance of best-in-class amenity spaces for their tenants to come together and collaborate, and take a break from their hectic schedules,” said Lisa Bevacqua, Executive Vice President at Silverstein Properties. “The Willow at 529 Fifth Avenue will be a bespoke wellness experience that will continue to attract top talent.”

“The 529 Fifth Avenue capital improvements plan is an investment that will continue to attract high caliber tenants to the building,” said Paul Glickman, Vice Chairman at JLL. “The new amenity/wellness space and programming will ensure 529 Fifth Avenue remains a competitive asset in today’s and tomorrow’s marketplace.”

“When the nation’s workforce is prepared to return to the workplace, convenient travel and access is going to be a major benefit,” said Alexander Chudnoff, Vice Chairman at JLL. “529 Fifth Avenue is centrally located near three major transit hubs and all forms of transportation, making it an attractive office destination that can accommodate tenants traveling to work from several New York City neighborhoods including by bike.”

Marketing the building on behalf of the landlord is JLL team Paul Glickman, Alexander Chudnoff, Diana Biasotti, and Kyle Young.
