On Friday, May 3, World Trade Center developer Larry Silverstein hosted a barbecue for 1,000 construction workersto thank them for working tirelessly to rebuild the site. The lunch also celebrated the curtain wall enclosure of 4 WTC, the first tower that will open on the 16-Acre WTC site this Fall. A Boston-based rock and roll band called The Joint Chiefs played for the workers. Silverstein organizes several of these lunches a year for his workers. Photos by Joe Woolhead[slideshow id=124]
