Stefani Markowitz, 27, the grand-daughter of Charles Rutenberg LLC co-founder Richie Friedman, has been named president of the firm.
Markowitz previously worked for The Heddings Property Group from 2009 to 2012, specializing in residential leasing and sales of condominiums, cooperatives and townhouses in Manhattan.
Following her tenure at Heddings, she joined The Modlin Group in 2013 where she focused on the luxury real estate market and ran the sales office of a Condominium conversion project in Chelsea.
“We are excited about the fresh and innovative perspective that Stefani will bring to the firm as we pass the baton to a new generation. With Stefani’s blend of experience and youthful vigor, we are supremely confident that the firm will continue on its impressive growth trajectory and enjoy great success,” Friedman said.
Markowitz said, “I am honored to be named President of this tremendous firm and am excited to lead Charles Rutenberg, LLC’s New York offices into the future.
“Rutenberg was founded on the 100 percent commission model with the belief that our brokers are our most important clientele and deserve to keep the money they earn. In addition to our industry-leading compensation structure, we have launched a comprehensive broker-oriented concierge service, and will be offering enhanced coaching and training programs. We are thrilled about the future for the firm and know that Rutenberg will continue to be the ideal firm for Smart Brokers,” Rutenberg President, Stefani Markowitz, said.
Charles Rutenberg LLC is one of New York City’s largest residential real estate brokerages with over 500 licensed real estate brokers throughout the city.
