Rudin Inks Lease with Applause for First NYC Location at 355 Lexington Avenue

 Rudin, a full-service real estate organization and one of New York City’s largest private owners, operators and developers of first-class real estate, announced today that it has completed a new 17,500-square-foot lease with Applause at 355 Lexington Avenue in Midtown.

Applause’s deal with Rudin marks the digital quality control and testing firm’s first location in New York City. The company will occupy the entire seventh floor of the 270,000 square-foot tower and plans to move in this month.

Founded in 2007 by Doron Reuveni, the Framingham, Massachusetts-based company is a worldwide leader in providing brands with authentic, timely real-world feedback on their digital assets. Ford, Google, Western Union, Dow Jones and thousands of other brands rely on Applause as a best practice.

“We are excited to welcome Applause to both New York City and 355 Lexington Avenue,” said Michael Rudin, Executive Vice President at Rudin. “We are confident that Applause will thrive among New York’s burgeoning ecosystem of technology focused companies, and benefit from the building’s prime Midtown location.”

Applause was represented by Chris Foerch of Savills. Robert Steinman, Senior Vice President at Rudin, represented building ownership in the transaction.

Built in 1959 by the Rudin Family, 355 Lexington Avenue is located two blocks from Grand Central Terminal with convenient access to the 4/5/6/7/S subway lines, Metro-North Railroad and starting in December, the Long Island Rail Road. Originally designed by Emery Roth & Sons, the 22-story tower has received several upgrades and improvements over the years, earning an Energy Star label for its operating efficiency, as well as WiredScore Gold certification in recognition of its connectivity. The building also features Nantum OS, the world’s most advanced building operating system. Nantum OS is the flagship product of Prescriptive Data, a privately held smart building automation company focused on using artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, decrease carbon emissions and optimize tenant comfort.
