RMS breaks ground for NJ rental

RMS Companies has purchased the former Schaefer Salt Factory site at 1255 Magie Avenue in Union Township, New Jersey and is breaking ground on its 153-luxury rental apartment project.

Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the $6 million acquisition was RMS’s first project in New Jersey.

The development will feature 51 one-bedroom, 97 two-bedroom, and 5 three-bedroom apartments with amenities including an in-ground pool, fitness center, lounge, a meditation room with a Himalayan salt wall, playroom and private co-working spaces.

The architect for the project is Lessard Design. “We are so excited to be expanding our operations into New Jersey and look forward to transforming this underutilized site into a lifestyle community with luxurious onsite amenities,” said Randy Salvatore CEO and President of RMS Companies.

RMS is currently developing over 1500 rental apartments throughout Connecticut and will open a new 94-room luxury boutique hotel in Stamford, Connecticut this summer.
