On Friday, December 14, Professional Women in Construction (PWC) will honor Stephanie Dawson, acting chief operating officer of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey at its annual holiday black tie Dinner Dance gala.
The event features Stan Rubin and his Orchestra in the Grand Ballroom of the Yale Club. Cocktails start the evening at 7 pm, followed by dinner and dancing.
Appointed acting COO in April, Dawson is certified Project Management Professional(PMP) who has served as president and board member of the New York City Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMINYC).
She is a founding member of the Transportation Diversity Council, vice-president and board member of the Council of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO-NYC); and a member of the Security Advisory Committee of ASIS International. Dawson is also a retired military ordnance and logistics officer, brigade commander, and a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
