Brooklyn Heights was the place to be last Thursday when Toll Brothers celebrated its launching of its sales gallery for Pierhouse at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the mega-developer’s latest project, with a party at its sales office.
Pierhouse, a joint venture between Toll Brothers City Living and Starwood Capital Partners, is a combination hotel-residential condo building located at 60 Furman Street (hotel), and 90 and 130 Furman Street in Brooklyn Heights.
The 10-story building will have 108 residential condo units once completed and 192 rooms in the luxury hotel.
The model units unveiled at the sales gallery at nearby 41 Clark Street are full of top of the line appliances and sleek, clean finishes, as well as high ceilings and unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline from every residential unit, and 70 percent of hotel rooms.
Residential units will range from one to five bedrooms, and price tags for the swanky units are approximated at $1.5 million to $11 million, according to information released by Toll Brothers. Sales will launch in the next couple weeks.
Architects on the project are Marvel Architects, while Perkins Eastman is in charge of the hotel. Interiors are being designed by INC Architecture & Design, while landscaping is headed by Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates.
Located just south of DUMBO and near the Brooklyn Bridge Park entrance at Pier 1, the development will have a total of approximately 600,000 s/f once finished.
Expected to achieve LEED Gold Certification, the project will also feature 16,000 s/f of restaurant space, 16,000 s/f of banquet and meeting space, and more than 2,000 s/f of retail space.
A 6,000 s/f spa and fitness center is planned as well as 300 underground parking spaces.
Ferry access to Manhattan will be located just 500 feet from the hotel entrance, and residential amenities include 24 hour concierge service, multiple fitness centers, a meditation studio, residents’ lounge, children’s playroom, teen lounge, pet wash, valet parking, refrigerated storage, and access to 1 Hotel amenities.
The hotel, which will be the third “1 Hotel,” a Starwood brand of four-star, environmentally-friendly luxury hotels, focus on combining sustainable architecture and interior design with top-of-the-line luxury and service.
Amenities will include private dining rooms, 20,000 s/f of event space, a world-class spa, a farm-to-table restaurants, a rooftop pool and bar, and a café and juice bar.
The other two 1 Hotels are located in Miami and 58th Street and 6th Avenue, at Central Park, which is still under construction.
