BGB Communications, a pharmaceutical marketing and medical advertising firm, has relocated and expanded its headquarters to the top floor of 462 Broadway.
The company has just signed a 10-year, 25,000 s/f lease to occupy the entire sixth floor of the 165,000 s/f, six-story landmarked office building located in the heart of SoHo on Broadway at the corner of Grand Street. Asking rent for the space was $60 psf.
“We are delighted to welcome such a prestigious and thriving tenant to our roster at 462 Broadway,” said Stephen Meringoff who has owned the building since 1981.
Meringoff added that the building’s major capital improvement program, including two new lobbies, new elevators, new windows and a restoration and enhancement to the cast-iron façade, is now underway.
Nicholas Farmakis of Studley represented BGB. Mark S. Stein, senior vice president and Jason Vacker, vice president, of Meringoff Properties acted on behalf of the landlord in the transaction.
Formerly situated at 99 Hudson Street, BGB was keen to remain Downtown as well as ensure space for additional expansion.
With high ceilings and oversized windows wrapping around four sides of the building, the penthouse offers excellent views of Lower Manhattan.
Other notable tenants in the building include International Culinary Center and Lee Harris Pomeroy Architects.
